Zena Louise Thomas, 80, of Hardin, died on Friday, August 10, 2018, at Bridgecrest Rehabilitation Suites in Houston surrounded by her loving children.

A native of Evening Shade, AR, she lived in the Liberty areas since 1975, where she worked as an administrative assistant for Tanner Construction for many years. Zena was a devoted mother and beloved grandmother and her family meant the world to her and always looked forward to family gatherings. Zena had a love for animals, especially her cats and dogs. She was an active member of Hardin Lions Club and Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Moss Hill.

Zena is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Earnest Street and Sammie Louise Mullins; and brother, James Edward Street.

Those left to cherish her memory are; son, David Kent Richards and wife, Roxann of Hardin; daughter, Dana Stuart of Liberty; sisters, Patricia Ann Shurley of Edmond, OK, Judith Lynn Smithson and husband Roger of Shreveport, LA; grandchildren, Bobby Ogden and wife, Nichole, of Tyler, Laura Thompson and husband, Jamie, of Crockett, Casey Stuart and wife Mandi of Hardin, Caleb Stuart and wife Kelly of Hardin, Andy Richards and wife Sarah of Batson, and Courtney Guidry of Vidor; great-grandchildren, Hagen, Alayna, Arik, Paige, Payton, Pyper, Brianna, Grace, and Wyatt.

A service of remembrance will be held on Monday, August 13, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Moss Hill, with Pastor Carlton Bailey, officiating. Interment to follow at Moss Hill Cemetery in Moss Hill.

A gathering of Zena's family and friends will be Sunday, August 12, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Faith and Family Funeral Services, Inc.

Honoring Zena as pallbearers are Kent Richards, Casey Stuart, Caleb Stuart, Andy Richards, Bobby Ogden, and Roger Smithson.
