Weldon Eugene 'Goat' Morgan, 82, of Saratoga, Texas, died on Saturday July 1, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his loving family and friends.
A service of remembrance will be held Thursday July 6, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at Faith & Family Funeral Services with Reverend Mark Ainsworth officiating. Interment will follow at Oilfield Cemetery in Saratoga. Serving as pallbearers are Noah Pitre, Jason Anderson, Collis Stanley, Dusty Morgan, Nicky Page and Doug Morgan. Honorary pallbearers are Fred Trahan, Billy Phillips and Billy Martin, Walter Trahan, Jim Cryer, Don Brown, and Roger Hobbs.
The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday July 5, 2017 also at Faith & Family Funeral Services from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
Goat was born June 20, 1935 in Saratoga, TX to Stanley Morgan and Minnie Placker and he was a lifelong resident of Saratoga and was an oilfield worker.
Goat is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Clayton Morgan, Collis Morgan, and Jack Morgan.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Shirley Faye Wells Morgan of Saratoga, son, Weldon Douglas Morgan of Saratoga, daughters; Jean Gillen and husband Stephen of Saratoga, Rene' Anderson and husband Rodger of Livingston, and Lesha Page of Saratoga, grandchildren; Stacy, Noah, Jason, Jessica, Kaci, Dusty, Nay Nay, Collis, and Nicky, along with 20 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
