Staci Lynne Copeland

1968 ∼ 2025

Staci Lynne Copeland,56, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on March 21, 2025, in her hometown of Liberty, Texas. Born on August 21, 1968, to Billy Ray Lunceford and Janie Elizabeth Findley, Staci was a vibrant presence in the lives of those who were lucky enough to know her.

Staci will be remembered for her sassy and witty personality, which brought joy and laughter to many. Her thoughtfulness and warmth made her a great friend, always ready to lend an ear or lend a hand to those in need. Throughout her life, there were countless highlights, but none shone as brightly as the moments she shared with her beloved husband, William Curtis Copeland. Together, they embraced a spirit of adventure that took them on many delightful journeys. Their trips to the casino became much more than just a chance to try their luck; they were an opportunity for the couple to bond, laugh, and create lasting memories. As they traveled, William and she discovered new restaurants, savoring diverse cuisines and exploring little-known local eateries along the way.

Staci’s interests and hobbies were diverse and reflective of her spirited soul. She loved engaging in bingo nights, spending time with her beloved cats, and adorning herself with jewelry that added a touch of sparkle to her daily life. She was an avid reader, a fan of "Peanuts" the cartoon, and had a special fondness for candles that filled her home with light and warmth. Staci had always felt a special connection to the ocean. She would spend countless hours at the beach, feeling the warm sand between her toes and listening to the gentle rhythm of the waves. But what truly captivated her were the dolphins. Their playful nature and intelligent eyes seemed to spark a joy in her heart that nothing else could. Staci also had a deep love for high school football, passionately cheering for the Dayton Broncos.

Her family was a cornerstone of her life. Staci is survived by her husband William, daughter Lauren Haro and her husband Corbin, and her cherished grandchildren, Kirra, AJ, and Charli. She is also survived by her brother Steven Lunceford, her sister Melissa Wallace, her soul sister Julie Langford, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, who will all miss her immensely.

Honoring Staci as pallbearers are Jeff Noble, Blake Lunceford, Kade Turner, Corbin Haro, Cody Schatz, and Brooks Turner.

The memories of Staci Lynne Copeland will continue to inspire and uplift all who knew her. A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Freedom Church, located at 422 US-90, Liberty, Texas. A funeral service will take place from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM officiated by Pastor Jason Cowart at the same location. Interment will follow to Cooke Cemetery, Liberty Texas.
