1965 ∼ 2017

Sherry Lynn Mettlen, of Moss Hill, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at her residence with her loving family by her side. She was 51. Sherry was born on July 27, 1965 in Corry, Pennsylvania, to Glenna Scadden and Bruce Stebbins. Sherry graduated from Hull-Daisetta High School in 1984 and attended North Harris Community College. She then married her high school sweetheart, Daron Mettlen in 1985.

She began working at Carol Bond Health Foods in Liberty in 1988 as a cleaning lady making $4 an hour. By 2013, she was the proud owner of the business in which she had worked for 25 years. She worked tirelessly serving her customers and often working seven days a week. She was a passionate community leader and believed in giving back to her community. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

What a Beautiful & Sweet Lady inside & out! Always so helpful & caring. We helped each other when we needed products for our customers. If I was out of something or did not carry something at my store I would call Sherry & the same she would call me. She loved her customers so much & went above & beyond for them. She was very encouraging to me. She will be missed so much! Thank you Sherry for being such a giving & carrying person, what a light & example you were to many!

I got the pleasure of meeting Sherry when she worked at Carol Bond, before she owned it. We both share a passion for the natural health and both owned our own store so we could help others. She has helped me more than I think she ever knew and more then I can say. She is a very special and beautiful woman. God bless all the lives she touched.
