Shanda Gale Burke, 52, of Daisetta, Texas, passed away on Saturday, April 27,2024. She was born in Houston, Texas, on August 11,1971 to the late James Wilson Sr and Carol Wilson Boatwright.

She was an unconditional loving mother, wife, friend, daughter, sister and loved being Momma Bear, Gigi and Aunt Shanda as well as looking forward to being Mamaw. She enjoyed baking, having birthday parties and all babies & kids were her soft spot. She was very strong-willed and a spitfire when she needed to be. She loved New Braunfels and trips to Cozumel, Louisiana, Florida, Tennessee, Virginia California & visit to Disney World. We have cherished and loved the time we were blessed with you! You are a part of each of us and will be deeply missed by all. We love you to the moon and back! 

Shanda is preceded in death by her father James Wilson Sr.; mother, Carol Wilson Boatwright; brother, James Wilson Jr.; niece, Chrystal; nephew, Cory. 

She is survived by her husband, Tony Burke; son, Lloyd; daughter, Lindsay and wife Kristina of Deer Park; grandson, Marlon; Papaw Howard Boatwright;  nephews, Evan, Ryan, Shaun, Cary, Daniel, Josh Trent; great nephew, Mathew; ; niece, Brianne and husband Bryan, Hali Trent; great niece, Alyssa; sister Kim Wilson; lifelong friend/sister, Angie Sanders, Carol Roden; brother in laws, Dean Burke, Bud Sanders; sister in law, Angie Trent and husband Chris,; mother in law, Barbara Moreton and father in law, Jerry Moreton; supported as parents, Harold Sanders and wife May Sanders “meme” who loves her  like a true daughter. 

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

Cremation services are under the care of Faith and Family Funeral Service, Batson, Texas.
