Sara Faye Brown

Sara Faye Brown, 66, of Saratoga, passed away Thursday, August 29, 2019, at Rolling Brook Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Baytown. She was born October 11, 1952, in Liberty, TX to Robert Blackman Sullivan and Myria Lillian Sullivan.

Sara Faye was a strong, straightforward, loving mama, Nana, aunt, sister, and friend. She loved to cook enormous, delicious, home-cooked meals for her loved ones. Most Sundays after church you would find family and friends gathered around her kitchen table enjoying one of her flavorsome meals. She loved the holidays when her family would come together, and she was able to prepare a huge supper for them. She would make small pecan pies, and tarts, peach cobbler, a variety of cookies and pies, along with an endless amount of food. She took pride in her cooking and it was a way for her to bring together her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved music and often you could find her in her kitchen cooking while jamming out to some Cajun or country music. She enjoyed the simple things in life and put her family before herself. She was a hardworking woman her entire life. She did without to provide her children with the things they needed while growing up. She loved crossword puzzles, enjoyed relaxing by sitting outside or watching some of her favorite shows on television such as, “Swamp People,” the cooking channel, anything on the SyFy channel or scary movies, but only during the day. She enjoyed gardening and was able to grow just about anything, especially ivies. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with all her heart and was so proud of each of them. Sara Faye’s legacy will live on through the cherished memories her family and friends hold dear to their hearts.

Those left to cherish her memory are her companion, Gerald D. Brown of Saratoga; her son, Avery Fregia and wife Tina of Conroe; her son, Ronnie Fregia and wife Laura of Dayton; her son, Dean Brown and wife Kristin of China; her daughter, Amanda Weaver and husband Leonard of Votaw; brother, Bobby Sullivan of Ace; sisters, Dorthy Jean Fry of Livingston, Lawon Johnson of Ace, Doris Creamer of Beaumont, Peggy Jo Fregia of Daisetta, and Ann Elizabeth Hill of Livingston. She has twelve grandchildren: CJ Fregia, Justin Jones, Jared Jones, Kameron Powell, Haley Fregia, Paisley Brown, Paxton Brown, Talor Hughes, Brandon Shults, Aubree Daugherty, Kylee Weaver, and Branden Weaver. She has eight great-grandchildren: Nevaeh Fregia, Brianna Jones, Baylee Jones, Natalie Jones, Cayden Cox, Caine Cox, and another to be born in October which will make a grand total of nine great-grandchildren. Her special friends that are considered family are Jackie and Josh Hippler of Votaw. She has numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of family and friends.

Sara Faye is preceded in death by her beloved parents RB and Myria Lillian Sullivan; brothers, Dewey Sullivan, Robert Sullivan, Darrell Sullivan, and Jr Sullivan.

A gathering of Sara’s family and friends will be on Monday, September 2, 2019, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Saratoga. Graveside services will be Tuesday, September 3, 2019, at 10 am at the Votaw Cemetery.

Mom... I miss you already. I wish I had one more day to tell you how much you truly meant to us kids. To be able to hear you call our name or to have you cook Sunday brunch for us. One more day to call you and hear your voice or one more day to tell you I love you. You are a amazing woman. You always went beyond to make sure us kids never went without. You were the best of the best. You were and still are our number one. My heart hurts but, I know that you will be soaring the skies looking down over us. We will miss you mom but we will never stop loving you. You will forever be the light in our days of darkness.

I remember growing up in Saratoga she always treated myself and my brother Charles like her own. She always had a smile on her face and a heart of gold, i remember we use to play around her house hunting for crawfish with ronnie and Avery she would get onto us if we track mud in her house. There are so many wonderful memories i could go on. R.i.P miss Brown.
