Rose Ella Proctor

1974 ∼ 2025

Rose Ella Proctor, a beloved homemaker and cherished member of her family, passed away on July 1, 2025, in Orange, Texas. Born on March 26, 1974, in Liberty, Texas, Rose was known for her caring and loving spirit, traits that endeared her to everyone who crossed her path.

Throughout her life, Rose made an indelible mark on her family through her cooking, particularly with her signature dishes such as Boudin Balls, turkey dressing, ham, and cheese dip. These meals were not just food, but expressions of her love and generosity, bringing joy to family gatherings and celebrations alike.

A devoted grandmother, Rose enjoyed spending quality time with her grandchildren and was always eager to engage in any activity they wished to participate in. Her nurturing nature extended beyond her family; she was known to help everyone around her, creating an atmosphere of warmth wherever she went. Rose had a deep affection for animals, particularly cats and dogs, and was also passionate about flowers, especially roses.

Rose is survived by her husband, David Willey, and her children: Justin Proctor and wife Ashley, Tyler Fregia and Morgan, Havana Slaydon and husband Tyler, Crysta Scott, and Johnny Scott. Rose treasured her grandchildren—Isabella Proctor, Walker Proctor, Serenity Fregia, Onalee Fregia, Hinley Wagner, Julian Fregia, Matthew Salazar, and Maverick, each of whom brought immense happiness to her life.

In addition to her immediate family, Rose is survived by her sisters, Debra Hendrix and husband Chuck, Tammie Fregia and husband Bruce, Becky Jeans, Anna Arceneaux and husband Ivan, and her brother, Virgil Proctor, along with numerous nieces and nephews who will fondly remember her nurturing presence.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents, Tex Ritter Proctor and Rose Etta Dagle, and her brother, PJ Proctor. The love she shared and the memories she created will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, who will forever cherish the light she brought into their lives.

Cremation services are under the direction of Faith and Family Services.
