Although I didnt meet uncle ronnie until I was 16 almost 17, I dont know of his younger memories only the last 10 years of his life. It started out as just a neighbor, I'd go over and clean his house and cook him food. He was very specific about his food, and his cooking shows he was souped up as a chef. It was certain brands that I had to learn real fast if he sent you to town . Later on in the years I became his care giver. He was very head strong and it was his way or no way 🥰 some of my favorite memories is how he loved me and my kids deeply, not one morning did I wake up and not have a good morning and a I love you so much txt. He would do anything to get you over there at that moment, like pretend something was really wrong so you could come and find his tv remote and sit with him at 3am 😂 or the time he shot the porch light out when the neighbors wouldn't quit partying across the street ,we didnt have a porch light for years 😂 he loved to sing and dance with my babies and teach them how to cook and eat good fancy food. His favorite place to eat was Golden Corral and Olive Garden we would go to one after every dr appt. He called me the boss, later on if they couldn't get him to behave all they had to do was tell him they was calling the boss and he would straighten up 😂. He didnt miss a holiday or birthday and made sure to be the first one to make it to your inbox. He drove me with one eye everywhere and it would scare me to death until I started driving him. Dont be surprised if you didnt walk over there and see him with only one lense to his old glasses and have to search everywhere for it 😂 I was so lucky to have him in my life and was able to stick it out with him even in his hard times. We loved him and he loved us and I'm so glad to have been able to complete his journey with him. At the end he made sure to tell me its the memories and that I have many of There are so many more memories there's just not enough space on here. So I will always love you uncle ronnie see you again🥰

Rusty, Jana and Jodi I watched to read the obituary to make sure I had the right family and there your three names were, I use to keep you when you lived in Old River Tx... many years ago, I now live on the street where y’all lived.. I still have the picture your mother gave of the three of you all dressed up..but here’s my proof that I really kept you ...Rusty you did not like crunchy peanut butter and I still tell the story of you wanting to know who put the peanuts in the jelly because you knew they weren’t it the peanut butter, fond memories.. I pray that you cherish your memories with your dad and know that you will see him again one day in Heaven Rhonda Powell
