Ronald Douglas Ferguson

Ronald Douglas Ferguson, 72, of Hardin, died on Thursday, August 16, 2018, at his residence with his loving wife and family by his side.

Ronald was born January 28, 1946, in China, TX to his parents W.E. 'Snappy' Ferguson and Virgine 'Pat' Daigle Ferguson. He lived in China with his wife Frances Marie Ferguson and their children until her passing in 1991. He moved to Hardin in 1993 with his wife Roberta where he remained until his passing.for many years before moving to Hardin in 1993. He was an Electrical Designer by trade and a U.S. Navy Veteran serving on the USS America as a Plank Holder.

Ronald is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charles Ferguson; and sister, Delores 'Sissy' Scheeler.

Those left to cherish his memory are; his loving wife of 24 years, Roberta Ferguson of Hardin; daughter, Amanda Ferguson of China; sons, Matthew Ferguson of Baton Rouge, Timothy Eric Horacek of Switzerland, Shawn Erin Knight of Portland, Oregon, and Ian Vollert of Hardin; brothers, Gary Ferguson of China, Dennis Ferguson of China, and Gregg Ferguson of Canyon Lake; sisters, Glenda Brunson, Dianne Clement, both of China; grandchildren, Kobi, Kamryn, Timothy, Rebekah, Kennedy, Savannah, Marshall, Michael, Casey, Keith, Kyle, and heavenly grandson Tadpole; great-grandchildren Asher and Kaden; numerous nieces, nephews, and many loving family members.

A gathering of Ronald's family and friends will be Monday, August 20, 2018, starting at 11:00 A.M. with a service of remembrance at 11:30 A.M. at North Main Baptist Church in Liberty. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 21, 2018, at 11:00 A.M. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Liberty with Father Andy Dinh Vu officiating. A reception will follow in the church hall after service.

I accepted Ronnie as my brother when he married my sister (Marie) and will always remember him as a brother. His lovely wife Roberta has become like a sister to me. I love them both as a brother and a sister, and always will.Love ya! Naomi
