of Moss Hill, formerly of Baytown, died on Sunday May 1, 2016 at Liberty-Dayton Regional Medical Center. he was 45.

A service of remembrance will be held on Saturday May 7, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at Mount Calvary Baptist Church - Marysee, of Moss Hill, with Pastor Carlton Bailey officiating. Interment will follow at Ferrell cemetery in Colmesneil, TX, in Tyler County.

Serving as pallbearers are Cordrey Sellers, Brian Sellers, Josh Sellers, Jared Sellers, Joe Butler and Scott Sellers. Honorary pallbearers are Mount Calvary Baptist Church-Marysee of Moss Hill ,Youth Department.

The family will be receiving friends on Friday May 6, 2016 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Mount Calvary Baptist Church-Marysee of Moss Hill.

A native of Baytown, he had worked as a Facilities Coordinator for Baytown Police Department. He was a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church-Marysee where he had served as Youth Pastor. He had served as Assistant Pastor at Victory Baptist Church of Baytown.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, P.J. and Bessie Marie Cryer and Robert Benjamin and Naomi Sellers.

Survivors are his wife, Janell Sellers of Moss Hill, parents, Robert Logan and Joyce Jeanette Sellers of Moss Hill. His first wife Carol Rives of Moss Hill.

Sons, Cordrey Sellers of Baytown, Brian Sellers and wife Victoria of Saratoga, Josh Sellers, Jared Sellers, Rodney Logan Sellers Jr. and Ethan Sellers all of Moss Hill. Brother, Scott Sellers of Moss Hill, and sister, Brandy Marie Sellers of Moss Hill, and grandson, Laken Sellers. Also numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of loving friends and brothers and sisters in Christ.

I new Rodney from a distance, interacting with him from time-to-time, he was in the program at Houston Community College. I was usually more in contact with his brother, Robert. Though I knew both of these guys, I did not know they were brothers until today. In interacting with people, character is the first thing that shows. What I remember about both of these young men, is the type of character they displayed, and was known for by faculty and others. Rodney, as is Robert, was a man of great character. After meeting his Father and talking with him just a short time; I understood things better...I see where it comes from. So, may brother Sellers sleep in the arms of the lord for eternity, and God bless and keep this family in their time of need. Dr. Clennis F. High.
