Robin Charles McCarty of Liberty, died on Thursday April 27, 2017 at his residence. He was 69.

Robin was born March 25, 1948 in Elmira, NY to Robert Emmett and Marion Bullock. He had lived in Liberty for 27 years and was a Vietnam veteran in the U.S. Army, and was Roman Catholic in his faith.

Survivors are son, Graydon McCarty and Clinton Garrison both of Liberty, and daughter, Briana Porter and husband Mason of Liberty. Grandchildren are Caytelin McCarty and Emma Blankfeld and a host of loving friends.

Cremation handled under the care of Faith & Family Funeral Services.

Rob was a great friend and great patriot of war. I knew him since he came to Texas at Joaquin near where we worked together. We worked along side each other for Georgia Pacific in Logansport, Louisiana and Louisiana Pacific in Cleveland for 14 + years. I along with others remember the great friend he was. He liked people but died still a yank as I always teased him. Pamela and Rob will always be remembered as some of my important friends in my life. The kids and grandkids were always the focus in their marriage as I knew from when the boys were little. Farewell my friends.
