Robert Teague Sweezy

Robert Teague Sweezy, age 52, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends at MD Anderson in Houston,TX. Rob was born March 20th, 1972 to Robby and Sue Sweezy of Hull. Rob attended Hull-Daisetta High School and went on to work with his extended family at Johnson's House Moving. His final place of business was Southwest Quikrete in Raywood, TX.

An avid outdoorsman, Rob spent the majority of his childhood and early adulthood in the woods or by the water. Some of his fondest memories were of chilly mornings in a duck blind with his grandfather and father. Most of his later years were spent with his wife of 26 years and kids. Being not much of a talker and having no desire for the spotlight, Rob willingly and graciously stood on the sidelines as an ever present source of strength and support for those he loved. He was a hard-worker, a protector, a loving husband, father and friend. Even in suffering, he constantly worried about the well-being of his family. He enjoyed the simple things in life from dancing to western swing, gardening and grilling, to evenings on the porch with his best dog, Trish.

Rob is preceded in death by his grandmother, Stella Mae Hollingsworth, grandfather, John Wiley Sweezy, mother, Sue Doris Odom, father, Robby Dee Sweezy and "favorite mother-in law", Bernita Landry, whose picture remains on the home screen of his phone. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Amanda, daughter, Bella, son Riggs, and sister, Sandra McDaniel along with several nieces, nephews and cousins whom he loved dearly.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 21st, 2pm at Eminence Baptist Church 6619 Farm to Market Rd 563, Wallisville, TX 77597
