Robert Clay Richardson, a dedicated welder and beloved family man, was born on March 31, 1973, in Hemphill, Texas. He passed away on December 20, 2024, in Houston, leaving behind a legacy defined by strength, generosity, and an unwavering commitment to those he loved.

From a young age, Robert embarked on his career as a welder, a profession he passionately pursued since the age of 17. His tenacity and work ethic were emblematic of his personality; strong and often stubborn as a mule, he faced challenges head-on and never backed down. A natural protector, Robert, was known for being super protective of his loved ones, ensuring they felt safe and cherished at all times.

Robert was not only a skilled tradesman but also a warm and outgoing individual, often described as the life of the party. His ability to connect with others was exceptional, he never met a stranger and regarded his myriad of friends as family. His laughter and lightheartedness brought joy to countless gatherings, as he relished the moments spent cooking and barbecuing for others, always striving to make people laugh and smile. 

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy Wayne Richardson Sr. and Connie Sue Hair, and his brother, Michael McCoy. He is survived by his devoted wife, Tina Richardson; and a large extended family, which includes his children, Robert Clay Richardson II, Cody Allen Davis, Justin Cooley, Katie Mae Golden, Heather Jackson, and Kelsey Richardson; stepfather, James Kirkham Sr.; brothers James Kirkham Jr., Steve Kirkham, Christopher Richardson, Matt Kirkham, Jimmy Richardson Jr., Justin Richardson, Timothy Richardson, Brandon Richardson, and James Richardson; and sisters Jaime Richardson and Samantha Richardson. He was a proud grandfather to Daisy, Carter, Beau, Holten, Emory, Grace, Bryce, Achilles, Killian, Molly, Olivia, Juniper, and Landon, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Robert's spirit will continue to inspire those he left behind, serving as a reminder of the bonds shared by love, laughter, and unwavering strength. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Cremation services are under the direction of Faith and Family Funeral Service, Batson, Texas.
