Robert Edward Fregia, Sr.

1956 ∼ 2026

Robert Edward Fregia, Sr., born on October 3, 1956, in Liberty, Texas, departed this life on January 17, 2026. A devoted family man, Robert's heart was as vast as the Texas sky, embracing everyone around him with warmth and care. He was a steadfast presence in the lives of his loved ones, ensuring that he was always there when they needed him most.

Throughout his life, Robert was known for his incredible work ethic and his unfailing love for his family. He was a man who believed in hard work and dedicated himself to every task at hand. Whether it was mowing the lawn or raising chickens, he took pride in all that he did. One of his sweetest gestures was gifting chicken eggs to anyone in need, a reflection of his generous spirit. Robert also cherished the thrill of deer and hog hunting, often sharing those moments with family and friends, creating memories that would last a lifetime.

Robert's legacy is carried on by his beloved sons, Rodney Fregia (Ashley Kahl), Robert Fregia, Jr., and Leroy Weaver (Heather), and his cherished daughters, Joyce Fregia, Alicia Fregia (Josh), Jessica Fregia (Josh), and Lacie Fregia (Donovan). He leaves behind a brother, Johnny Fregia (Christine), and sisters, Ruby Nugent and Rosie Brown (Jimmy). His grandchildren—Sean Smith, Payton Touchet, Kenzie Varner (John), Aliyah Pena, Anthony Pena, Caleb Pena, Kaislee Dills, Marlon Riley, Hunter Marceaux, Rylie Marceaux (Reese), Wyatt Weaver, D-Avion Griffin, and Aubree Fregia—were a source of immeasurable joy for him. Additionally, he is survived by a great-grandchild, Lillie Varner, and numerous nieces, nephews, and loving friends.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Ruthey and Cullen Fregia; his siblings Mary Nugent and Donald Fregia; his loving wife, Tammy Fregia; and his grandson, Kevin Fregia. Each of these individuals held a special place in his heart, and their memories brought both solace and strength to him throughout his life.

A visitation will be held at the First Assembly of God in Saratoga, Texas, on January 21, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, leading into a funeral service at 1:00 PM with Pastor Aaron Leger officiating. Following the service, Robert will be laid to rest at Moss Hill Cemetery in Liberty, Texas.

Pallbearers are Leroy Weaver, Adam Kinney, Donovan Griffin, Anthony Pena, Josh May and Rickie Mann.  Honorary Pallbearers are Josh Marceaux, Caleb Pena, Marlon Riley, Hunter Marceaux, and Josh Erwin.

In celebrating Robert's life, we remember him as a man who never told his children "no," who loved to eat, and who made everyone feel valued. He touched many lives, leaving behind an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to know him. The memories we hold dear will always remind us of his kindness, his laughter, and the unconditional love he so freely gave. As we bid farewell, let us carry forward his spirit of generosity, dedication, and love for family.

Daddy, you were always my savior. The one to call when I am having any kind of issues with my messed up life. I don't know how to get through this without you. It was hard losing mom, but so much easier knowing I still had you, but now I am all alone. I love you daddy and I miss you so much already. Kiss momma for me and tell her I love and miss her so much to.
