of Batson, Texas died on Thursday June 29, 2017 at Christus Southeast Texas Health System of Beaumont. He was 65.

A service of remembrance will be held on Monday July 3, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at Jordan cemetery in Batson. There will be a gathering of family and friends also on Monday July 3, 2017 from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at The Batson Prairie Baptist Church of Batson. Serving as pallbearers are Jay Roth, Jacoby Roth, Eric Patton, Haylee Patton, Jessica Tanner, Katie Tanner, Angel Roth and Hailey Henry.

A native of Liberty, he had lived in Batson most of his life and was a retired Diesel Mechanic for Liberty County Precinct 1. He was preceded in death by his parents, Welton Patton and Billie Jean Jordan. Sister, Lana Kay Anderson and brother Walter Patton.

Survivors are his wife of 35 years Tammie Patton of Batson. Sons, Robert Patton and wife Diane of Jacksonville, FL and Richard Welton Patton and wife Heather of Pennsylvania. Daughters, Elizabeth Tanner and husband Jerry of Batson, and Diana Roth and husband Jacob of Batson.

Brothers, Ronald Dean Patton and wife Lou of Liberty, Joe Patton and wife Diane of Batson, and James ' Jim' Patton of Batson, and sister Dorothy Sellers and husband Wilbur of Moss Hill.

Grandchildren are Jacoby, Angel, Haylee, Jessica, Jay, Eric, Katelyn, Ryan, Callie, Izabella, and great grandchild Addy.
