Rex thoroughly enjoyed many aspects of being a dad. One thing that stands out in my memory is how he would love to prepare the baby bottles. He would begin the task & then start humming, and just had the sweetest smile the entire time. He would also love to be in charge of their sippy cups when the boys were toddlers. It was almost like he was a chemist, he was so precise in mixing the water with the fruit juice. He always had the knack of mixing it perfectly - just enough juice so that they would enjoy drinking it! And no dad was more fun than Rex, when they were all playing together! He could happily play quietly with them or hoop and holler and run around - almost as much as they did! (Though he was usually sweating a lot more than the boys!) Such memories of deep joy!
