Raymond was a great friend to me almost like an uncle...I first met him when I was a young kid working for the City of Beaumont. He would spend time with me and take me fishing and teach me things as if I was one of his sons. He really helped me change my life and is the reason I finally got the courage to leave home for the navy and I thank him everyday for it. Its not everyday in life you meet someone who will have a lasting impact but I thank God he put you in my life. You will be missed my friend. Until we meet again 'CHI-CHI'

Raymond was such a joy to be around. Always smiling with a heart as big as Texas. He loved the Lord and served Him with a loving and giving spirit. I'm a better person to have known him and will miss him dearly. His faith was a testimony of his life. Until we meet again, rest in peace my friend. How you can shout GLORY all day long. Never to be forgotten. God bless and comfort the family. Love in Christ, Becky Slocum
