He loved me . He told me every chance he got. We didn't have an open relationship but I always felt that connection. We knew that is all that matters. I miss him . Iam his daughter . And he loved my mother . Both gone now maybe together.

Thelma and Orbin Eakens was the sweetest couple I have ever known. They were my dearest friends. My children loved them as a grandma and a grandpa. We would look forward to seeing each other around Christmas time. I will always remember the wonderful memories I had with them. I will continue to cherish their love and their kindness from the minute I met them. I appreciate Ms. Thelma for bringing me to Saratoga early in my teaching years. It was a blessing that I would not have had, if you had not helped me get the job. May we meet each other over yonder. I will always love you both.
