Olia Fay Milstead

Olia Fay Milstead, 84, of Kountze, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday February 25, 2013. She was born on February 26, 1928 in Spurger, Texas. She was a member of the Lighthouse Pentecostal Church in Sour Lake. She loved to sing and to crochet. She also enjoyed doing puzzles.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Wilson Milstead; parents, John and Maysel Parker; grandson, Donnie Allan Poe.

She is survived by her children, Johnny Paul Milstead and wife Cindy of Sour Lake, Maudine Milstead Lancaster of Sour Lake, Katie Thomas of Nederland, Mildred Louise Hatton of Bridge City, Danny Wilson Milstead of Amarillo; sister, Anna Lee Hendrix of Port Arthur; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Faith and Family Funeral Services Chapel on Wednesday February 27, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until noon. A graveside service is scheduled for Wednesday February 27, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at Bumstead Cemetery in Lumberton, officiated by Pastor James Votaw.

I will always remember Sister Milstead for her loving smile and her kind words of encouragement to Church members and family. She will be greatly missed by those who loved her but Heaven gained a beautiful Rose. RIP dear Sister.
