I knew the Rives family through my sales work. I would go out to see Fuzz and Molly, and rest of her family. She was always doing something to keep her family to tighter by cooking, by doing laundry, and tending the to the birds which were chickens, and two turkeys . But she always glad to see you and did not what matter time of the day or night. You were always greed and told to seat down. She told me one day that she did not have an education and regret it. Fuzz took care of the business of the house hold. That shocked me when she told me. I loved the family. Her brother and his wife lived with them too. Nancy Hale Robertson

It was very awkward standing there waiting for Jerry to get dressed so we could go somewhere, but there I was and of course his mom came in. I was terrified lol. And sure enough she started talking to me. The first question she ever ask me was ' so has my son convinced you that he hung the moon yet?' My reply to her was 'what are you trying to say he didn't?' Does that mean he's not real wealthy too? Yep that was how we got started. That was almost 40 years ago. We had lots more questions and laughter through the years. We had our good times and our bad times but I knew that woman had my back if i needed her. I called her Mrs Rives for years then it became grandma (because of my kids of course), but I'm so glad that I also called her my friend. We discussed many things but the most important to me was salvation. She ask Kandi where I was a few days before she left us and I did get to make it over to talk to her. She couldn't say much but she wanted me to know that ' things are alright with her and God'. I was so happy. She could have left me many things but letting me know that she accepted Christ and was ready to meet him face to face well that's the greatest thing she could have left me. No amount of material things could ever make me as happy as she did that day. You never left Mollie that she didn't say 'I love you' as she did the last day we talked. So today I say with many tears I say I love you grandma. You were more than just my mother in law you were my friend.
