I'm so sorry about Melvin's death. The entire Cotten family always seemed part of my extended family. They spent almost as much time at our house as theirs when i was a child. Floy, Melvin, and Don walked through the woods to catch the school bus with us for several years. We never lost touch, and I will miss seeing Melvin at reunions. With love and sympathy. I remember Uncle Glen as a child following him all day in the woods. Most of the time I had no idea what we were doing, where we were going or if there was a purpose to the walk. And it was not important. I followed him for miles and miles. Sometimes we hunted deer or hogs and sometimes it was wild cows. It seemed to me that nothing could stop him. Later in life we did not see much of each other but he was a great storyteller and I loved to hear his tales. One of my greatest memories of him was about 1976. I was up at the old place and he was there with MIchael. After they walked away from where I was camping by the old corn crib and pen I watched him and Michael hand in hand going to make a loop in the woods. It was a very peaceful, serene and sweet scene. The last few years I only talked to him on the phone and he always had a word about GOD or his faith or his Bible study. My sympathy and prayers go out to you all especially Aunt Etna. GOD bless us real good. Kyle Evans
