Mary Scott, our beloved mother, passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2019, at Kountze Nursing Center in Kountze, TX. She was 71. She was born July 29, 1947, in Sour Lake to Clarence Harris and Bertha Bell Whitaker and had lived in Saratoga, most of her life and was a homemaker.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, James Vernon Scott Sr; and sons, James Vernon Scott Jr, Randolph Scott, and her parents.
Those left to cherish her memory are; daughters, Christine Rose and husband Kelly of Hull, and Bertha Scott and husband Bobby of Fred; sons, Henry Scott and wife Charlene of Fred, George Scott and wife Chrystal of Saratoga, Jack Scott and wife Cecile of Saratoga, Johnny Ray Scott and wife Liz of Saratoga, and Jerry Scott of Saratoga; brothers, Sammy Harris, and Buddy Harris; sisters, Doris Kimball of Kountze, and Lori Harris; grandchildren, Krista, Johnny, Laura, Wallace, Patrick, Daisy, George, Cody, Hailey, Ryder, Chasity, Holly, Heather, Samantha, William, Justin, Rosa, Noe; great-grandchildren, Dixie, Angel, Darryl, Chassity, Heather, McKinsie, Harry, Auna, numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of loving family and friends.
A service of remembrance will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2019, at 4:00 P.M. at Faith & Family Funeral Services, Inc. with Reverend Frank Aragon officiating, cremation will follow. There will be a gathering of Mrs. Scott's family and friends on Tuesday, April 30, 2019, from 1:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. also at Faith & Family Funeral Services, Inc.
