Mary Margaret Jones, 81, of Vidor, Texas passed away Thursday June 14, 2018. with her family by her side.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday June 23, 2018, at 1:00 P.M. at Woodcrest United Methodist Church in Lumberton with Reverend Charles Jordan officiating.

Margaret had lived in Vidor most of her life. She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry Thomas Hicks Sr. and Emily Loden, her sons Donald Forman and Jimmy Jones, her brothers Beau Hicks and Wayne Hicks and sisters Joyce Monteau and Sandra Jackson.

She is survived by her three daughters; Penny Mishio and husband Dickie of Liberty, Joy Matlock of Vidor and Melissa King and husband Timmy of Hardin. One brother Larry Joe Hicks of Vidor. She is also survived by her grandkids Brandy, Jamie, Joshua, Ashley, Emily, Maggie, Cody, Magan, Kassandra, Luke and James Kelly along with 17 great-grandkids.

To the family of Margaret Jones: I have never met any of you, but just want to express my sadness at the news of Margaret's death. So sorry I didn't hear about it in time to attend her funeral. She was my second cousin, and I always thought she was a very sweet person whom I admired for her hard work, her intelligence, her beauty and her faith in God. I lost contact with her several years ago when she relocated, but thought of her often. Please tell Larry Joe 'hello' for me. (I live in Saratoga, and think he will remember me.)

My nanny, She was beautiful, full of spunk, god filled, loving, and so many other things! The last week of my life has seemed like a huge roller coaster of why’s and maybe if’s. I feel like there’s this big knot in my throat that won’t let me swallow. My nanny had an impact on my life like no one other. I’m blessed for the memories I have. The humor. My name. Harper’s name. I love you old girl!!! I’m missing you fiercely. Heaven gained a beautiful soul. And a woman with a gorgeous smile. Rest In Peace.
