To the whole Hancock Family, I want to extend my deepest condolences and sadness for the loss of a wonderful man, husband, father, grandpa, uncle and friend. He was such a steadfast role that I looked up to growing up in Batson, playing sports and being involved in the youth group at church. Lynn was there for care and support in sports and in our lives. I have many fond memories of him and Mrs. Barbara in Jr. High and High School. Brandye, I know you loved your daddy like crazy and he thought you hung the moon. We were buds for a long time, so I'm so sorry for your loss sweet friend. Mrs. Barbara, you both were pillars of the community in Batson and such an amazing example of sticking together and how a real marriage lasts. I can only imagine how much you miss him. Lynn, I know you must have looked up to your Dad and had a close bond with him. I remember that he sure enjoyed watching you play football and all the other sports you and Brandye played. He sure was proud of you both. To the rest of his family, I can only imagine the immense loss you feel and you are certainly in my thoughts and prayers. May the Lord bring you peace and comfort as you navigate this difficult journey of loss. I send you you my heartfelt love. ~Becky Carter Giebler

... Barbara, Lynn and Brandye... I am so sorry. ... I remember one day looking for Momma... No where to be found... She walked to town (probably no shoes) and I could not find her... I came back home and was getting out of my old car when Lynn drove up...thinking it was a red truck... Momma, jumped out of his truck with her gallon of milk yelling and LAUGHING like a Comanche Indian... He had picked her up on the way home... Passed up the driveway, so she rode to Hull with him. (Thinking the bank)... She thought that was hilarious!! ... Lynn (and family) made an impact on this small town... We will always love and cherish the memories... Lynn was an awesome man. ... To Barbara '50 1/2 years... What a blessing, testimony an example y'all led for your two children'...To Lynn Jr. and Brandye... 'There will be days that you will just need to talk to him... Those days stink... But remember this is only temporary... You will see him again... Until then, he left a HUGE part of him right here... Its, you children and grandchildren' again, I'm sorry, you all are in my thoughts and prayers. Big -Big hugs
