Linda Claire Barnes of Liberty, died on Saturday May 20, 2017 at Liberty Healthcare Center, She was 80.

A native of Houma, LA, she got to Texas as soon as she could, lived in Liberty 50 years, and was Owner & Operator of Shield Pest Control from 1964 to 1996. She is preceded in death by her parents, Herman E. Block and Velma Pontiff Block, son, Glen E. Barnes, and an aunt Mildred Pontiff.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Dale and Misty Barnes of Hardin; daughter,and son-in-law: Lori and David Tidwell of Daisetta and Tina Kibodeaux of Nome.

Grandchildren, Dawn Nugent and husband Justin of Hardin, David Kibodeaux and wife Robin of Beaumont, Tabitha Kibodeaux of Dallas, John David Westbrook of Hardin, Daniel Barnes of Devers, Luke Barnes and wife Lorena of Hardin.

Great Grandchildren, Garrett Marquis, Kael and William Kibodeaux, Annabell Madole, Addison Westbrook and Aaron Barnes.

A service of remembrance will be held on Friday May 26, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Cornerstone Church in Liberty, with Pastor Michael Glazener officiating. Interment will follow at Catholic Cemetery in Liberty.

The family will be receiving friends on Thursday May 25, 2017 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Cornerstone Church.

Serving as pallbearers are Daniel Barnes, Gerald Baldwin, David Kibodeaux, John David Westbrook, Garrett Marquis, and Tommy Edwards.

Honorary pallbearers are Alan Herpin, Jimmy Sanders, Richard Budro, Chester ' papa' Baldwin, Marvin Baldwin, Luke Barnes, and Mark Marroquin.
