Lesly Anthony 'Duke' Milstead, 45, of Batson, died on Saturday, July 29, 2017 in Beaumont.

A service of remembrance will be held on Thursday August 3, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at Faith & Family Funeral Services with Reverend Frank Aragon officiating. Interment will follow at Moss Hill cemetery located on Highway146 in Liberty County.

The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday August 2, 2017 from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P. M. at Faith & Family.

Serving as pallbearers are Josh Garcia, Shane Sanders, Allan Maines, Matt Harlin, Joseph Perez, and Ricky Segovia. Honorary pallbearers are longtime friends Loyd Prather, Michael White, and sons, Nash and Drake.

' Duke' was born to Sheila Tucker on November 21, 1971 in Houston, Texas. He worked for Bechtel Construction in Beaumont as a crane operator. He married his wife Cristal Millard on February 20, 1993. Father of Nash Anthony Milstead and Justin Drake Milstead.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Lester Milstead and Tony Bautista. Grandmother, Willie Mae Bautista, great uncle, Frank Bautista and uncle, Howard Milstead.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years Cristal Milstead and sons Nash and Drake Milstead of Batson. Mother-in-law, Joyce Millard of Batson, and mother, Sheila Tucker of Houston. Sister, Chasity Milstead Rosier and husband Rex of Katy. Niece, Lexus Milstead nephew, Damian Dyer and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and people who just plain loved him.

Many of us worked with Duke at Tellepsen Industrial in LaPorte. He always had a smile for those not so easy days and beamed with joy when speaking of his wife and kids. DUKE was a good friend of mine way back from working at Star Enterprises with Aluma Systems Scaffold company. He was a young, smart talented scaffold builder, then turned supervisor. Those days they would call us the Calvin Cooper Boys. Duke was a youngster in his 20's. He was hard working and dependable all the time. Definitely gone to soon. Lesly was my one true love. We were going to spend the rest of our lives growing old together, happy and in love. February 20, 2018 would have been our 25th wedding anniversary and believe me 25 years was not long enough. He was a wonderful dad and a wonderful husband. I am going to miss him so much. He was my everything and I honestly don't know what I'm going to do without him. I loved him and still love him now and forever. Rest in peace my love.
