73 of Sour Lake, Texas died on Saturday January 18, 2014 at Christus. St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. Lavonne was born August 3, 1940 to her parents Joseph Sterling Romero and Xelma Belle Millhollon. She was a Homemaker. She lived in Sour Lake most of her life and attended the First Christian Catholic Church of Sour Lake. She is preceded in death by her husband Doyle Ray Baize, parents Joseph and Xelma Romero, nephews Patrick 'Pat' Jackson and Damon Ray Meguess and sister Barbara Belle Meguess. She is survived by her daughters Dana Kerr of Sour Lake and Stacey Baize of Sour Lake and sister Evonne Williams of Kountze. Very close and dear friends Betty Faye Weaver of Sour Lake, Shirley Sparks of Fannett and Aletha Perew of Sour Lake aunt, Dorothy 'Dot' Kubicheck and husband Joe of Beaumont, niece Angie Copeland and husband Nick of Sour Lake, Leah Jackson of Sour Lake and Sarah Jackson of Sour Lake. nephews Mike Jackson of Sour Lake, Ricky Meguess of Highlands, and Yancy Meguess of Winnie. Brother-in-law, Ray Lee Meguess of Beaumont. Grandchildren, Brandon D. Kerr of Sour Lake, Brittin D. Kerr of Sour Lake, Brock D. Kerr and wife Brianna of Hillside, Michigan, Patrick Kerr of Beaumont, Braiden Kerr of Austin, Levi Kerr of Austin, Lexi Kerr of Michigan and Elijah Kerr of Georgia. Also a host of cousins, family and friends. Her family will receive friends Tuesday January 21, 2014 at Faith & Family Funeral Services from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. A service of remembrance will be held also at Faith & Family Funeral Services Wednesday January 22, 2014 at 10:00A.M. with Reverend Frank Aragon officiating. Interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery in Sour Lake. Serving as pallbearers are Brandon Kerr, Brock Kerr, Yancy Meguess, Ricky Meguess, Nick Copeland and Max Jacks. Honorary pallbearers are Tommy Laman, Brittin Kerr, Bubba Barnes and Hillary Deshotel.
