Oh Kent , how I miss you already! So many memories of you kids growing up, and of my phone ringing and it would be you saying Hi Aunt Bonnie, just checking on you and Uncle Bob ( and checking on Me after he died) and of the PM's you sent and we would discuss the Word, and your laugh !! I was sitting here the night you passed Kent and I swore I heard your laugh in the other room. But we know Heaven is once again Filled with music and laughter with all of you there. Penny and kids, Kate, Kym and Kerri, and my sweet sister Merri you know our arms are wrapped around you, you are loved . Aunt Bonnie

Uncle Kent, You were such a positive role model to me growing up and then later when we, (Derrick and I), decided that our spiritual growth was not being met in our current place. You never had a negative word to say about anyone. Not EVER ..When speaking of spiritual hardship or the daily grind, YOU NEVER spoke ill of anyone and encouraged myself and others to be positive in my pursuit of knowledge. I love you Uncle Kent; you have been a blessing to our family from the moment you said ‘I do’ and, thus became a part of the best family in the world. Yep, that’s the Hughes’ family.. YOU were a major addition! I feel sorry for anyone who doesn’t know the absolute and purest love of my family. 😉 Your spiritual guidance has always been an inspiration, because you had more faith than ANYONE I have EVER met. You will continue to be a beacon in the beautiful lives of your children: Dustin, Lorin, Kaylynn, and Austin, but more than anything your legacy will inspire for generations- from your precious grandchildren: Cheyenne, Brianne, Leanne, Jackson, and Cooper. What a blessing you were to their lives and anyone who met you. Aubrey Grace Brown will be a force like no other. Count on it! She will never get to meet you but will absolutely carry your name. We will all honor you by letting this sweet girl know what an amazing man raised her daddy to become the man he is today. It saddens me to know you never knew what you meant to me. May your soul rest easy in heaven knowing that here on earth your family will take care of Aunt Penny, your amazing four children and most importantly; your grand babies. May every sparkle we see reflected in their eyes be YOU protecting and guiding them every single day. We love you, and will take care of things down here. ❤️

Kent was always there when anyone needed him. He was good to all those crazy girls we had, in good times and bad. We will always love and miss you deeply.

My dearest cousin Kent, you were such a big part of my life growing up and as a young man. So many memories that I will always cherish. I have no doubt where we’ll find you when the time comes, with your Dad and Uncle Bob singing to the Angels and praising our Sweet Jesus. Penny and family so sorry for your loss. Always remember you have lots of folks in the panhandle if ever you need us.

When I was an unruly teenager and most parents didn’t want their kids hanging around, Mr Brown knew there was hope for me and welcomed me into his home and was always kind to me. When I would get into trouble in the neighborhood, he would show up to support My Momma when she had her hands full. He told me once that I would figure things out eventually and I had potential. We was an inspiration to me in a time I needed it the most. Thank you Mr Brown for your kindness and to all the Brown family, I love you!
