Kenneth Earl James Hicks Sr, 59, of Liberty, passed on Sunday, June 17, 2018, with his family by his side.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2018, at Faith & Family Funeral Services, Inc. at 3:00 P.M. with David Forrest officiating. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 2:00 P.M. until service time.

He is preceded in death by his father, Earl Hicks; mother, Geraldine “Jerry” Hicks; his sister, Pennye Falcon; son, “Buddy” Kenneth Earl James Hicks Jr; and brother-in-law, Thomas Broussard

Those left to cherish his memory are; wife, Sherlene Hicks; children, Kimberly Hicks Denais, Sheree Spurlock and husband Dustin, and JoAnna Williamson and husband James; son-in-law, Damian Denais; 14 grandchildren, Zachary, Rylie, and Buddy Denais, Kadee, Brett, and Jacob Peak, Jordan, Kali, and Braeli Spurlock, Devinne, Jacob, and Brandon Leger, Logan and Casey Williamson; 2 great-grandchildren, Landon and Brantley Williamson; three sisters, Jenny Broussard, Tammis Willis and husband Gary, and Pam Daigle and husband Kevin; goddaughter, Krystal Savoy; his fur-panion, Chloe; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of loving friends.

Following the Memorial Service, the family will be gathering at The Pentecostal Tabernacle 2776 F.M. 2830 N. Liberty Texas 77575.

We send our deepest sympathy to the family of Ken Hicks. Though we only had 3 opportunities to speak with Ken regarding the passing of his good friend Bruce Taylor, Ken made a lasting impression on us. He was kind, caring, and so willing to help us with our question. We often heard Bruce and Joann speak of Ken in such a positive way.
