I don’t think the railroad (Missouri Pacific/Union Pacific) ever knew our first and middle names. We filled out our applications using only our initials and last names, and that is what we used on our time slips. As a result we tended to call each other by our initials. I am pretty sure that is how it was with KD. KD was a fine locomotive engineer who was loved and respected by all. Rest In Peace KD. RT
