Joyce Faye Freeman, 70, of Thicket, died on Thursday, February 1, 2018, at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.

A service of remembrance will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at 11:00 A.M. at Faith & Family Funeral Services Inc. with Reverend Woody Sonnier officiating. Interment will follow at Guedry Cemetery in Batson.

The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, February 6, 2018, from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Faith & Family.

A native of Saratoga, Joyce had lived in Thicket 17 years and was a homemaker. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Wilkerson and Viola Fregia Wilkerson, brother, Johnny Wilkerson, and stepdaughter, Shannon Freeman.

Joyce is survived by her husband, James Freeman of Thicket, sons, Benjamin Todd Whittington and wife Lydia of Batson, and Charles Lee Whittington and wife Jamie of Texas City, brothers, Donald Wilkerson of Dayton, Ernie Wilkerson of Mesquite, TX, sisters Dee Sanders of Waller, TX, and Mary Lou Overkott of Brenham, TX.

Grandchildren are Tristan, Dillon, Shelby, Ethan, Brandon, Emma, Emily and Kayla,
