76, of Sour Lake, Texas died on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at Baptist Hospital of Southeast Texas - Beaumont. A service of remembrance will be held on Friday, February 13, 2015, at 2:00P.M. at Faith & Family Funeral Services Chapel, with Reverend Duane Kelley officiating interment to follow at Pine Ridge cemetery in Sour Lake, Texas. The family will be receiving friends on Thursday, February 12, 2015, from 5:00P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Faith & Family. A native of Newton, Texas, he had lived in Sour Lake, most of his life and was an heavy equipment operator with Yarbrough Construction Company of Sour Lake, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Boothe Snider and Lena Opal Broussard. Brother, John Snider and sister, Rosantha Stevens. Survivors are daughters, Jo Ann Snider Holmes of Westlake, Louisiana, Shirley Jo McAdams of Beaumont, Texas, and Trinda Gale Snider of Silsbee, Texas. Sisters, are Patsy Kelley and husband Bobby of Sour Lake, Texas, Juanita Mullins of Sour Lake, Texas, and Jan Snider of Sour Lake, Texas. There are also numerous grandchildren, and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of good friends. Serving as pallbearers are Chris Holmes, Kevin Mullins, Mike Jackson, Bobby Kelley II, Gene Stevens, Tony Wimberly. Honorary pallbearer is Glenn Bullock.

I knew Joe for a long time and he was a kind and humorous kind of guy. He always had a wise remark and normally hit the nail right on the head. Prayers for the family he will be missed dearly.
