Joe Dan Sandefer, 71, of Cleveland, formerly of Jasper died Saturday, April 14, 2018, at his residence surrounded by his family.

A service of remembrance will be held on Thursday April 19, 2018 at 1:00 P.M.at Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Jasper, with Reverend Noble Enloe and Jacob Clay officiating. There will be a gathering of family and friends also on Thursday from 11:00 A.M. until time of service at the church. Interment will follow at Zion Hill Cemetery in Jasper.

Serving as pallbearers are Austin Sandefer, Cody Price, Grant Price, Cole Stetson, Jacob Clay and Reverend Noble Enloe. Honorary pallbearer, Johnny Colburn.

A native of Jasper, he was a retired Supervisor and had lived in Jasper many years before moving to Cleveland.

He is survived by his wife, Nora Sandefer of Cleveland, sons, Austin Sandefer of Liberty, Joseph Sandefer of Liberty. Stepsons, Jacob Clay and wife Mickie of Cleveland, Grant Price and wife Savanah of Tarkington, and Cody Price of Cleveland. Daughters, Desiree Price of Cleveland, Paula Whitton of Jasper. Brothers, Wilburn Ward of Lufkin, Vernon Ray Ward of Sam Rayburn. Sisters, Debbie Sims of Jasper, Patricia Brush of Sam Rayburn and numerous nieces, nephews aunts and uncles, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
