I've known the Deckert family (Joe, Joyce, Bevil, Karen, & Mitchell) for 40+ years now and feel very blessed to call them friends (& family, too). Just this past summer, I was so tickled to watch Joe 'cut-a-rug' at his granddaughter's wedding...that man was so full of life & is no doubt dancing on streets of gold now. I know Karen took excellent care of him over the past quite a few years & stayed by his side continuously after he fell. His children & grandchildren loved him deeply...as he did them. I send my heartfelt condolences to them all. God bless you, Joe, and thank you for your service to our country...rest in peace now! Love you, Kay Lynn

Uncle Joe, you were always a kid at heart, with those tall tales and jokes you told you would always make us laugh! We will miss the pranks that you would pull on us and the times that we would just sit around watching fireflies too, but most of all we will miss you! You know your niece Wilma Garcia (Ewing) was always very fond of her uncle Joe, as it turns out that filtered down to us kids too, Debra, Wilda and myself. You have fought the good fight and now you're with grandpa Joe and Grandma Rissie! God speed uncle Joe we will miss you but we will see you again and we still have all those memories that you left with us! Love you always Anthony Garcia
