This picture was our last Easter with my mom Lela here to enjoy, and she was a joy to be around. We barbecued, danced, talked and had fun. Mom went to be with Jesus October 1, 2014 after my sister Donna went to be with Jesus in 2012. That had to be a hard 7 years for my dad, and he beat cancer those same 7 years. He also lost his brother Luke in his teens when his scooter crashed with a car. He was very rough around the edges but was friendly and a little nutty most of the time. He was a sharp-shooter/sniper in the US ARMY but he didn't have to hurt anyone because the war ended luckily for the enemy. He was hardheaded, stubborn and a little grouchy but we know why now. His life was hard and I forgive him for any misbehaving and I'm sure he forgive me for a few. In his younger days he was irresistibly handsome to the girls, but he was already taken and hopefully he behaved as much as possible. Love you and miss you Dad. Your son, Gary Denmon Barnhart. P.S. When my mom said Gary Denmon, that meant business. Love you Mom, Donna, and Dad and I miss y'all more than words can describe

The first memories I have of my father in law are when he would take my sons and all his then young grandchildren around the neighborhood on a hayride for Halloween. My sons enjoyed it. I enjoyed it. And then all the silly songs and noises he would make. Always trying to impress the young grandkids with his wolf calls and etc... He would always try to be a comedian. Lol He will be missed.
