Jo 'Jody' Ellen Guidry of Daisetta, died on Tuesday, August 28, 2018, at MD Anderson Hospital in Houston with her family by her side. She was 55.
A service of remembrance will be held on Friday, August 31, 2018, at 2:00 P.M. at Faith & Family Funeral Services Inc. Interment will follow at Guedry Cemetery in Batson.
Serving as pallbearers are Manuel Flores, Shaun Flores, Chad Downs, Dylan Luce, Beth Johnson, Terry Don Fregia, Dabo Hickman, Alan Gartner. Honorary pallbearers are Buddy Luce, Hunter Bell, Brandon Downs, Caleb Downs.
The family will be receiving friends on Thursday, August 30, 2018, from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Faith & Family.
A native of Liberty, she had lived in Daisetta, most of her life and was an associate for Wal-Mart. She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny 'Buddy' Downs and Dorothy ' Tookie ' Downs and sister Rhonda Luce.
She is survived by her son, Joe Allen Guidry and wife Deja of Baytown; daughter, Angel Ann Joiner and husband Jay of Liberty; sister, Susan Bell and husband James of Houston; brother, Johnny Downs and wife Stacey of Mont Belvieu. Grandchildren, Hailey, Brayden, Shaedyn, and Aiden.
