Jesse Albert LaFour of Liberty, died on Thursday, August 17, 2017, at Magnolia Place Health Care Center in Liberty surrounded by his loving family. He was 93.

A service of remembrance will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2017, at 1:00 P.M. at Faith & Family Funeral Services with Reverend Pamela Fregia officiating. A closed interment will follow.

Serving as pallbearers are Stuart Varnon, Johnny LaFour Jr., Preston LaFour, Trent LaFour, DeWayne O'Brien, and Charlie O'Brien.

Honorary pallbearers are, Eugene LeBlanc, Willie Measles, Weldon Fregia, and Elvy Mangum.

Pallbearers of Honor are G.W. 'Pokey' Mangum and Zoren O'Brien.

The family will be receiving friends also on Saturday, August 19, 2017, from 12:00 P.M. until time of service. A native of Wallisville, TX he had lived in Liberty most of his life and had worked for Texas Gulf Sulfur. He was a WWII U.S. Army veteran who faithfully served his country.

He was preceded in death by mother,Gladys Sherman, his brother, Samuel Austin, sister, Anna Yarbrough, stepfather, Dezra Sherman and grandson, Craig David LaFour.

Survivors include his wife of 69 1/2 years Bernice LaFour of Liberty, sons; Sidney R. LaFour and wife Teresa of Liberty, and Johnny Albert LaFour and wife Joyce of Hull, daughter; Pamela Fregia and husband Jimmy Ross of Bridge City, and nephew, Zoren O'Brien, wife Joan, and children of Iowa, LA.

Grandchildren; Tacie Varnon, Stuart Varnon and wife Melissa, Preston Howell LaFour and wife Melissa, Johnny A. LaFour Jr. and wife Kimberly, Trenton Matthew LaFour, Bradley Ryan LaFour, Terrica Leigh LaFour, great-grandchildren; Hannah, Arabella, Tyler, and Dylan Varnon, Caleb Shambley, Chasidy, Shelby, Jesse, and Colt LaFour, Justin McCormick and wife B.J., Cody Spittler and wife Jessica, and Jenna Brown and husband Derek, great-great grandchildren; Brilynn and Bryson Spittler, Zane Brown, and Justice McCormick.
