Jerry Smart 48, of Kountze Texas, died Saturday March 24, 2012 in Kountze. A service of remembrance will be held Tuesday March 27, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at Faith & Family Funeral Services 40847 Hwy 105 E. Batson TX, with Reverend John French officiating. Pallbearers are Otis Smart, Joe Earl Smart, Roy Gene Smart, Larry Dale Smart, Josh Conner and Terry Wade Smart. Honorary pallbearers Daniel Mercer,, Greg Guidry, Justin Conner, John Conner.Interment will follow at Hooks cemetery also in Kountze. The family will be receiving friends on Monday March 26, 2012 from 5:00P.M. until 9:00P.M. at Faith & Family Chapel. A native and lifelong residence of Kountze Jerry was born April 7. 1963 to parents Jerry Von Smart and Bonnie Mae Lewis Smart and had worked for Multi-Source Sand & Gravel in Romayor TX. He was preceded in death by his father Jerry Von Smart, sister Shirley Ann Soileau. Survivors are his wife Pamala Smart of Kountze, mother Bonnie Mae Smart of Kountze. Son Jerry Waylon Smart and wife Maria of Kountze, daughters Candace Janelle Mercer and husband Daniel of Saratoga, Ashley Chantelle Guidry and husband Greg of Silsbee. Brothers Otis Smart of Kountze, Joe Earl Smart of Lumberton, Roy Gene Smart of Kountze, Larry Dale Smart of Kountze. Sister Patricia Gale Smart of Kountze. Grandchildren are Kalissa, Mikayla, Chloe, Jacob and Hailey, and also numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Jerry will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
