JD Ainsworth

JD Ainsworth, 74, passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2024. He was born on March 30, 1950, in Anahuac, Texas to the late Marion Monroe Ainsworth and Fannie Marie Norris.

JD was a hardworking and beloved man. He made a significant impact during his career in the oilfield for 5-10 years before transitioning to working in hayfields after an injury. JD was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to his family. Described as a family person and social individual, he had a talent for forging lasting friendships and cherished spending quality time with his loved ones. His interests were varied, from caring for his farm animals including cows, goats, and horses, to enjoying peaceful moments while fishing. JD also found joy in woodworking, particularly building birdhouses, as well as engaging in friendly games of dominoes, checkers, and card games.

JD is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marylin Kay Ainsworth; brothers, Charles Ray Ainsworth, Jack Ainsworth, James Ainsworth, Joel Ainsworth, George Mitchell Ainsworth; sisters, Joyce Troup, Jane Cranford, Janell Tolar, Judy Marriott. He is survived by his children, Kayce Ainsworth (June Mott), Sterling Ray Davis (Ashley) and Kaylee Ainsworth (Matthew Hortman).

Serving the family as pallbearers are Chris Beasley, Greg Beasley, Tristian Ainsworth, Xander Ainsworth, Charles Ainsworth Jr. and Lloyd Ray Holder. Honorary pallbearers are Matthew Hortman and Landon Holder.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Faith & Family Funeral Services in Batson, Texas. Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 22, 2024, officiated by Pastor Donald Scott at Faith and Family Funeral Services, Batson, Texas. Interment to follow at Abshier Cemetery in Devers, Texas.
