Jarvis Joel Stovall, 88, of Batson, died Saturday, January 06, 2018, at Liberty Dayton Regional Medical Center.

Graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2018, at 11:00 A.M. at Guedry Cemetery in Batson, with Reverend Bill Campbell officiating.

The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, January 10, 2018, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Faith & Family.

A native of Batson, Jarvis had lived in Batson, for many years and was a retired Drilling Superintendent.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Mae Stovall. He is survived by his daughter, Peggy Rawlinson and husband John of Batson, grandchildren, John and Jason Cook. Great grandchildren, Isaac, Isabella, Eric, Bridgett, and Gabbie. He is also survived by nieces, Linda Phillips, and Martha Barnett both of Batson, and a host of caring and loving friends.

Paw Paw, Remember that time when I was younger and we were cutting up trees and I cut into a wasp's nest and they started stinging my legs? I started screaming and crying and pulling my pants off as I ran inside. For a brief second, I look back to see you and Jason laughing hysterically laughing at me. Yeah well, I forgive you for laughing. I would've laughed too. Especially if it would have been Jason and not me. :) I love you Paw Paw! You will missed!
