Jamie Lauren Peak

2002 ∼ 2025

Jamie Lauren Peak, born on January 30, 2002, in the loving embrace of her family, was a vibrant soul who left an indelible mark on the lives of all who had the privilege to know her. Jamie, who came into this world brimming with energy and joy, passed away on June 6, 2025, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of love that will continue to shine brightly.

In her school days, Jamie was an avid athlete, her heart captured by the thrill of competition and team spirit, particularly in softball, a sport she loved with unyielding passion. Her peers often described her as a firecracker, electrifying the atmosphere with her contagious laugh and spirited presence. She approached life with a beautiful determination, showcasing her strength and headstrong nature in every endeavor. Jamie cherished quality time spent with her family and friends, reflecting her deep commitment and love for those around her. Adventures fueled her spirit, and she embraced every moment with a fast-paced zest for life that inspired everyone she encountered.

Jamie is survived by her devoted family. She leaves behind her father, James Lawrence Peak, and her mother, Lana Bernice Harmon; grandmother, Patsy Harmon. Her brother, James Floyd Peak, along with sisters Linda Petterson, Cathy Thibodeaux, and Haley Sorrell, will forever hold onto the warm memories they created together.

Though Jamie’s physical presence is no longer with us, she joins her late brothers, James Lawrence Peak, Jr. and David Howard Peak, alongside her beloved grandparents, Buster and Sylvia Peak, in a peaceful reunion. Their spirits embrace her in love, providing comfort to her family during this profound loss.

As we gather to celebrate the remarkable life of Jamie Lauren Peak, a visitation will be held at Faith & Family Funeral Services in Batson, Texas, on June 16, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. It is an opportunity for family and friends to come together, share stories, and honor the adventurous soul that Jamie was. A private burial will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at Fairlawn Cemetery in Liberty, Texas.

The memory of Jamie will forever echo in the hearts of those she touched. Her laughter, strength, and love remain, illuminating the lives of her family and friends in the days to come. Jamie Lauren, you will be deeply missed, but your spirit lives on in every game played, every laugh shared, and every adventure embraced.

It’s hard to put into words what it feels like losing someone like you. We grew up wild and free, just kids running around the woods and playing fake fear factor near the pond on able rd, no worries, just laughter and sunshine. You were full of life even back then, and even as we grew older and life pulled us in different directions, when we reconnected, it felt like no time had passed. You were still you — real, loyal, and full of love. If you felt good, you wanted the people around you to feel good too. That was your spirit — uplifting, beautiful, and kind. It breaks my heart to know you were called home so soon, but I know God must’ve seen that same light and needed it up there. If you see my mama and my pawpaw up there, please sit with them, and keep watching over me like I know y’all will. I’ll carry you in my heart and memories — every laugh, every hug, every little moment we shared growing up. Thank you for being you. I love you, sweet girl. Your light will never be forgotten.
