James Ray Perew, 66, of Saratoga, Texas passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at VA Medical Center in Houston, Texas. James was born on July 25, 1955 to the late Thomas A. Perew and Cathlue Davis in Beaumont, Texas. He was a retired oilfield worker and truck driver. James was a very proud Navy Veteran. He was a member of New Life Church, serving the Lord faithfully. He will be missed by all who knew him.

James is preceded in death by his father, and sister, Aletha Yvett Perew.

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Cathlue Perew of Silsbee, Texas; step-father, Alex Caterra of Sour Lake, Texas; cousin, Reverend Bill Campbell and wife Reverend Teresa of Saratoga, Texas, and his Church Family.

A graveside service of remembrance will be held Monday, March 7, 2022, 3:00 p.m. at Rosedale Cemetery Old Beaumont Rd. Sour Lake, Texas.
