Dear family, I have searched years looking for my long lost extremely unique friend from SHSU. We all know Jade was certainly one of a kind. Was shocked and saddened to see she passed away so young. So many memories, the best is when she hung me outside the window upside down from the second floor of our dorm room. Not sure why, perhaps I deserved it. Please know my heart broke when I found her obituary. All my condolences, Melanie aka Frog ( her nickname for me )

Jimmy and Mickie, I was so sorry and saddened to hear of Jade's accident and death. My heart aches for both of you, as a parent that is one of our worst nightmares to lose one of our children, they are supposed to bury us, not the other way around but sometimes life does not happen like that. You and your families are in my thoughts and prayers, that God will give you strength and comfort and peace. I know you have lots of memories to cherish, I remember her as a beautiful little girl who smiled and laughed a lot. Blessing to all of you, Berniece

I met Jade when I was a student at Sam Houston. She tought a yankee how to make the best gravy and shared her 'secret ingredient' (it was gross). I recall the fun times we had every Monday night playing dominos with her then husband and mine. It was a running challenge every week and I looked forward to it. Unfortunately we lost touch but I'm glad she had a full life.
