Ira Walter Smith, 71, of Moss Hill, passed away Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Kindred Hospital East Houston in Channelview. A service of remembrance will be held Tuesday February 5, 2013 at 2:00P.M. At Faith & Family Funeral Services of Batson with Reverend Woddy Woodward officiating Serving as pallbearers are Billy Holmes, Mike Moore, David Gillian, Ben Mayeaux, George Gonzales, and Jay Echavarria. Interment will follow at Moss Hill, cemetery of Moss Hill. The family will be recieving friends on Monday February 4, 2013 from 5:00P.M..until 9:00P.M. at Faith & Family Chapel. Ira was born on April 26, 1941 to his parents George W. Smith and Martha Mahaffey Smith in Gist, Texas. He had live in Highlands, for fifteen years before moving to Moss Hill, where he had lived for seven years and had retired from Laney Road Boring of Humble, as a Truck Driver. Survivors are his lovely wife Lynda Smith of Moss Hill. Sons Walter Smith of Highlands, Kevin Smith of Moss Hill, Melvin Smith of Highlands, and Marvin Smith of Highlands.Daughter Melissa Tuttle and husband Raymond of Crosby. Sisters Helen Barlow of Magnolia Springs, and Billy Rene Stephenson of Kirbyville, Grandchildren are Makayla Tuttle, and Jacob Tuttle. ' Daddy we miss you very much love your, children.
