Iora Lou Guedry Dillon

1938 ∼ 2016

78 of Silsbee, died on Saturday June 18, 2016 at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont, with her loving family by her side.

A native of Beaumont, she had lived in Silsbee most of her life and was a retired school teacher. She had taught at Fred Elementary School and West Hardin School in Saratoga. She was a member of The Batson Prairie Baptist Church and had lived at Batson Prairie before moving to Silsbee.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Billy Eugene Dillon, daughter, Bertie Jean Guedry and sister Elaine Lockhart.

Those left to survive her are daughters, Lisa Ward and husband Gary of Silsbee, Karen Graham and husband Lyle of Weatherford. Brothers, Sevan ' Jay' Guedry of Batson, Bob Guedry and wife Lesa of Batson, and sister, Aledith Guedry Degaugh of Batson.

Grandchildren are Aaron Ward of Silsbee, Geoffrey Graham, Kevin Graham, and Sheldon Graham all of Weatherford.

A service of remembrance will be held on Thursday June 23, 2016 at 1:00P.M. at Batson Prairie Baptist Church with Reverend Lee Gruver officiating. Interment will follow at Guedry cemetery in Batson.

The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday June 22, 2016 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Batson Prairie Baptist Church.

Serving as pallbearers are Gary Ward, Aaron Ward, Bob Guedry, Jay Guedry, Bubba Guedry, and Jerisan Weaver.
