My mother remembers Miss Helen as one of the sweetest ladies she has ever known. I did not know her well, but I went to school with several of her wonderful children and know Helen Blanche Flowers was a good mother who raised her children well. Our mothers are very special to us and to be without them in our lives is a great loss. My prayers are for all of you as you go through this difficult time. Alf, to you, my friend from first grade all the way through our senior year and beyond, may God give you strength and bless you always. With love and prayers, Debbie Hollister

Mom (Joan Morse) always had such wonderful memories of Aunt Helen. She loved the times she spent with her, as a girl, growing up in Saratoga. She would tell me stories of their fun. She always welcomed Mom and I anytime we visited her like family. Such a precious, precious lady.

Aunt Helen was an amazing lady. The memories are just pouring through my mind. Watching her cook, her fresh baked biscuits and fried chicken, playing on the screened in porch, climbing trees, running up and down the red clay roads with Sugarman and Corky, thinking uncle Alf was a giant (well I was a little girl at the time), and her squirrel soup. I loved listening to her and Grandma (Aunt Nan to so many) talk about growing up in the lean times, how important family is. My regret is that I did not go and see her more. She would just look at me and tell me I reminded her of my mother and Grandma. I know she is in the best of company, Uncle Alf, Alan and Grandma to name a couple. The Lord has a special angle to help him watch over us. Rest in peace sweet lady, you have more than earned your heavenly wings. Elizabeth 'Beth' Call Powell

Our wonderful sweet granny that always had a special name for all of us. I remember she always made me cheesy noodles when she knew I was coming over to her house. I will love and miss her so much. RIP my sweet grandmother!
