Helen Lucille Campa

1962 ∼ 2025

Helen Lucille Campa

Helen Lucille Campa, a vibrant spirit known for her boundless love and infectious smile, was born on January 21, 1962, in Baxter Springs, Kansas. She peacefully passed away on February 18, 2025, in Houston, Texas, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and joy that touched the lives of many.

Helen was cherished by all who knew her. Her big heart and welcoming nature made her a beloved figure not only among her family but in her neighborhood as well. She enjoyed being surrounded by children, who fondly called her Mimi. The time she spent with her grandchildren—Azalyn Rodriquez, Braelyn Rodriguez, and Cheyenne Hollie—was particularly precious to her, creating memories that will be cherished for a lifetime.

Passionate lover of the outdoors, Helen found great joy in tending to flowers, fishing, and reveling in nature. Her home was a testament to her love for life, adorned with vibrant blooms reflecting her personality. In addition to her affinity for nature, she found companionship in her two cats, Cleo and Gary, who were often by her side.

Helen's deep love for her family was evident in every interaction. She leaves behind her daughter, Jaymi Hollie and husband Brandon; brothers, Kyle Stringer, Jerry Kingsberry, and Ricky Deckard; sisters, Liz Graff, Angel Meredith, and Gennie Clay. Each of them carries forward the memories of her love and kindness.

She was preceded in death by her parents Brandy and Helen Stringer and her granddaughter, Bailey Rodriguez. Their memories, intertwined with Helen's, remain alive in the hearts of those she touched.

In remembering Helen Lucille Campa, we celebrate a life that overflowed with affection, warmth, and an unwavering spirit that will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know her.

Cremation is under the direction of Faith and Family Funeral Services.

I met Helen when she started working at the old Coweta Walmart. What a great coworker she was! We spent several different occasions at after work gatherings of many kinds and she was just pure fun. I had the pleasure of Helen cutting and coloring my hair and the last time was days before she moved to Texas. My thoughts and prayers are with her family, may God give you peace and comfort in this tremendous loss. Love you forever my friend 💜

Helen found us in 1993 while she was discovering who her family was. As soon as I found out about her, I went to her job to meet her. Later on I got to meet Jaymie with her amazing smile. Helen was searching for her birth parents and found us. Then in 2018 a very sweet niece was looking for her aunt Helen for her mom Angie, because they were half siblings. I wished life could have been a little different, where they could have developed a strong connection like you do when growing up with your siblings, instead of being separated. Life had other plans for the three children that were separated when they were very young. God always has a plan and we are where we are supposed to be. Now Helen has found the Glory of God and is at peace watching over her two girls. God bless all who loved Helen.

Helen became my partner in crime on the first day of third grade. I learned that day I was adopted from a teacher. It wasn’t supposed to happen like that but it did. She was right there with me, shared her own adoption story and we instantly developed a bond. We remained great friends always. She was a passionate, understanding and loving person who cared greatly for others even at a super young age. I know without a doubt she is a shining light in Heaven. You will be missed but your memories will live on through so many. Prayers for her family. She was a jewel ❤️
