Guy Patrick Carr

1963 ∼ 2016

Guy Patrick Carr, 53, of Liberty, passed peacefully into the arms of God on August 1, 2016. An enormous loss for this world, but a beautiful gain in heaven.

Guy was born on March 23, 1963 in Fort Worth, Texas. His parents are Herbert and Katherine Carr of Liberty.

Family was everything to him. He was a cherished Husband, Dad and PawPaw. Guy was a man of God, a hard worker and a loyal friend, he was an example to everyone.

He loved life and had many interests, hunting, fishing, guns, motorcycles and pawn shops.

A lifetime resident of Liberty, Guy attended college at Stephen F. Austin, majoring in Criminal Justice. Then went on to pursue a career as a Police Officer for Dayton P.D. He proudly wore the badge and continued his love for the Police Brotherhood even after going to work at Chevron.

Honored to hold the precious memories of this wonderful man is his wife of 28 years, Terri Carr and daughters, Angela Brown and Aimee Carr, all of Liberty. Plus many other relatives.

Guy fought the good fight for nearly 12 years after his injury. He held on for his family. His pride and joy was his three Grandbabies, Alisabeth Brown, Aidan and Noah Billstein who loved him dearly.

There will be no public ceremony. Those wanting to show their respect please donate to the Dayton Police Department in Guy's name.

1 Timothy 6:12 ' Fight the good fight of faith, Lay hold on eternal life, Whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.'

I worked with Guy at Chevron for many years and have many great memories. I know that God greeted him with open arms as he arrived at heavens gates. We who survive are who suffer with grief, those who pass go to a much better place. My prayers are with Guys family. Chris Oehler

I worked with Guy at Dayton Police Dept.... he was one of my favorite officers there, and one of my favorite over the 25 yrs I worked in law enforcement. He was always pleasant to be around, tried to help everyone and was very respectful to all of us ladies he worked with. He was a good man, a good Police Officer and a loving husband. I have never met his wife, Terri but he spoke highly & lovingly of her. RIP: Guy... you watch here is done. Enjoy you mansion God has prepared for you.

I did not meet Guy until the 9th grade in high school. He was such a pleasure to be around you couldn't help but become friends with him. I can remember playing football with Guy and also tagging along with he and his family to the Houston Oilers games in Houston, He always had the best advice, no matter what the situation was. Rest in Peace as you were truly a great Guy. Love and Peace...Your friend David Moore
