Freida Joyce Tanner, 69, of Liberty, went to be with the Lord and Savior Friday June 21, 2013. She had a passion for crocheting and knitting. She loved to laugh and had a great sense of humor. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother..
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Grace Haynes; son, Leonard Tanner.
She is survived by her loving husband, Hal Lewis Tanner; children, Claudia Elaine Benoit and husband Charles of Hardin, Edward Lewis Tanner and wife Louise of Dayton, Sandra Annette Tanner of Hardin and Bonnie Marie Gaston and husband James of Batson; grandchildren, Derrick Allen Tanner, Shayla Benoit, Amber Benoit, Shawn Gaston, Krissy Gaston and Brandi Romero; great grandchildren, Trysten and Destynee Tanner, Issac and Arron Gaston, Navar, Isiah and Farrah Romero; sisters, Phyllis Nelms and Linda Rose.
Her family will receive friends at Faith and Family Funeral Services on Monday June 24, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. A service of remembrance will be held Monday 2:00 p.m. at Faith and Family Funeral Services, officiated by Reverend Bill Campbell and Reverend Robbie Jackson. Internment will follow at Moss Hill Cemetery in Moss Hill.
Serving as pallbearers will be Derrick Tanner, Shawn Gaston, Thomas Harwell, Joseph Whiddon, Robert Harwell and Chuck Benoit. Honorary pallbearers are Frank Gaston and Jerry Tanner.
