Forrest "Fuzz" Lynn Langford

Forrest "Fuzz" Lynn Langford, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at home in Rye, Texas on February 5, 2026. Born on June 15, 1954, in Texas City, Texas, Fuzz lived a life defined by love, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to those he held dear.

Fuzz was the devoted owner of Country Corner for over 25 years, a beloved establishment in Rye, where he became a staple of the community. Known as a jack of all trades, he had an unparalleled ability to fix anything that came his way. He was the go-to person for anyone in need, embodying the spirit of support and reliability. Fuzz's dry sense of humor brought joy to countless lives; although he was a man of few words, when he spoke, his sentiments resonated deeply. He was a devoted member of the Masonic Lodge Liberty, Texas #48, and lived by the values of service, loyalty, and brotherhood in all that he did.

Fuzz was a family man through and through. He leaves behind his loving wife of over 46 years, Terry Langford, who stood beside him through all of life's adventures. Their bond was a testament to true partnership and companionship. He is also survived by his son, Corky Dale Langford and his wife, Carol Lynae Langford, as well as his precious daughters, Shauna Gilbert and Misty Mudd and her husband, Sam Mudd. Fuzz took great pride in his grandchildren, Samijo, Colton, Shelby, Cynta, Abby, and Sam, each of whom he adored fiercely. A special thank you to Keith Delaney for being there for Fuzz in times of need and for stepping in as that extra helping hand whenever Mrs. Terry needed someone. You were always just a phone call away, and your faithfulness to him and to our family never went unnoticed. We are deeply grateful for you.

Beyond his family, Fuzz shared a special connection with his sisters-in-law, Robyn Langford and Sandra Langford, and was blessed with numerous extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory. His love for dancing brought many joyful moments, especially as he dazzled them all with the expert moves of the “Fuzz shuffle” at celebrations.

Fuzz's legacy lives on in the hearts of his family and friends, many of whom fondly recall the warmth of his presence. He was preceded in death by his father, Howard Langford; mother, Evelyn Wilburn Langford; brothers, Curtis "R" Langford and Howard "Grit" Langford; and sister, Dale Evelyn Langford. They, too, shall be remembered for their enduring love and nurturing spirit.

In celebrating Forrest "Fuzz" Lynn Langford, we remember a man whose life was dedicated to making the world a better place for those around him. He was a constant source of strength, laughter, and love, and his spirit will forever be felt in the stories we share and the memories we hold close. May he rest in eternal peace.

Condolences

Fuzz, Some of my fondest childhood memories of another era, are of our family get togethers at the old house in Webster (when it was still in the country) on a summer day all of us cousins playing kid games like, “Simon Sez”; “Mother May I”; “Annie Over”; “Red Light-Green Light”; “Red Rover”; “Hide and Seek”; hand cranking home-made ice cream; climbing that huge oak tree in front the house; catching June bugs and fireflies till after dark. Those were the good ole’ days. Thanks for the memories, Cuz. Go with God, rest in peace.

Terry, I'm praying that the good Lord above gives you strength, through these difficult times. It states in the bible to not question the good Lord, but this is very, very hard to do during times like these. Fuzz, had his purpose on earth and he fulfilled it, and God took him home, no tears in the eyes, no more pain and no suffering, he'll be waiting to have that dance, and stroll across those golden streets with you. We have been wonderful friends for many years and when something like this happens, we asked ourselves what can I do to relieve this pain? Terry know that I'm praying for you and your family that's what I can do. I always enjoyed going into the store to see you guys when I was up that way, it always refreshed the memories of the old times, made it seem like only yesterday. As I said I'm praying for you guys, and time will heal somewhat, but we still will miss him, know we love y'all and will keep you in our thoughts and our prayers. We can say bye for now but, we will rejoin him soon. take care and God bless!!!!

I know there's a huge celebration in Heaven as Fuzz is welcomed home, but my heart hurts for Terry, Corky, Shauna, Misty, and family who grieve his absence. Please know you are in our prayers during this difficult time. I have fond memories of Fuzz, Grit, Arwin, Dale, Aunt Altharee, and Uncle Howard. What a wonderful legacy of love.
